Unpacking Meds :)

September 18, 2012- Journal Entry

It is a very different feeling having an increased amount of responsibility on this trip.  I find my mind racing at times, wondering what I have forgoteen and what needs to be done - what Marilyn has done and what I should be doing.  It is good - just different.

It has been a good, productive day here.  We got meds organized.  Marilyn and Sara Jane powered through all the other supplies we brought.  Tomorrow we just need the medications from Baba Matari (Urafiki Medical Centre, Clinical Director) to complete our stock.

Ellen had a wonderful day of ministry amongst the leaders with the retreat for the Pastors and their wives and as though they are benefiting greatly from her teaching.

Dallas and I managed to get on the computer and post some blogs.  Matari has lent us his internet stick and while somewhat slow, it actually works really well!  So...hopefully we can get some more done over the next few days.

I saw Dr. Mukulla today!!  Oh, how my heart celebrated!  He meant so much to me on my last trip.  I also saw Aron and he is going to help us again in the Lab.  Aron used a phrase today - he saiod it is a Tanzanian saying: "The hills cannnot come together, but human beings can" - that is not verbatim, but it is somewhat close. The concept is that there is a uniqueness in us to enable us to become community.

My eyes are getting heavy, which is good - I think an early night will be good.  There are busy days ahead. Thank you though, Lord, for these days to slowly adapt and prepare.  Than you for the work you are doing through Ellen here and for the work wwe are doing in each other's lives.  We had such a beautiful time of prayer together this morning.  This is a nurturing group of women - I am most grateful.
