Hope in Haiti

Today is the day that aid organizations are meeting to discuss the plan of recovery for Haiti...I pray with Haitians in the lead.  I mentioned in a post below about the kite-flying in Haiti while I was there....how I would see young children with a plastic bag tied to a string and rooted on a tin can lid.  They would run and fly their kite with laughter and joy on their faces.  There was a certain freedom and hope that lived in those moments and it is that hope that I cling to for Haiti....that hope would be realized in it's most tangible forms.

I discovered that there are other kites in Haiti that can be purchased and while I made several attempts to capture an image of the kites I saw while we were driving the roads, I never succeeded.  Ben, on the other hand, has gorgeous photos of kite-flying in Haiti.  I leave you with images that hold out HOPE.
