Have made it to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It's about 11 p.m. and we are heading out again at 4 a.m. in order to catch the flight to Port Au Prince. Three more team members arrive later tonight...they will be REALLY tired in the morning, so pray for some good rest in the short hours that we have. Haven't gotten to the room yet, but apparently it's got a King sized bed!!! Woooohooooo!...my last lap of luxury for the next 2 weeks (: I'm going to enjoy it!
Everything is feeling a bit surreal today/tonight. It feels strange to think that in less than 12 hours we will be in Port Au Prince, Haiti and the reality of this mission will truly began to take shape. Have chatted with a few people along the way about the work we'll be doing. People are very supportive...good encouragement.
Well..must get to bed. Will post as I'm able from Haiti...we'll see! Thanks for the prayers! Am anxious to get there and get to work. People to love, people to help heal, people to learn from and be inspired by! A great, great privilege.
