This is a great little saying that the MCC Staff in Haiti have had for a number of years...
Come for a week and you can write a book about Haiti.
Come for a month and you can write an article.
Come for a year and you won't know what the heck to say anymore.
It sort of sums up the complexities of Haiti. It may look "simple" when you're just here a short time, but the longer you live and work in Haiti, the more you come to realize the complexities of the country...and there just are no easy answers.
