Today is the day...off to Tanzania!

I thought I'd post an itinerary on here for those that might be interested in what's going to occur over the next 3 weeks in my life. I'm sure things might get changed up during the time in Igoma, but the gist of it will be as follows:

September 18th: depart TO and arrive in London, England on September 19th.
Sept 19th: 11 hour stop over in London! So...we're going on a double deck bus tour! (:
Sept 19th: fly to Dar Es Salaam (on the coast of Tanzania)
Sept 20th: fly from Dar to Mwanza (then on to Igoma by vehicle)
Sept 21st: Day at the Urafiki Medical Clinic
Sept 22-25th: Village Clinic days
Sept 26th: Urafiki Medical Clinic
Sept 27th: Sunday spent with the local Church
Sept 28-29th: Village Clinic days
Sept 30th: Urafiki farewell and thanks ceremony
Oct 1-2: travel to the Serengeti for our "tourist day": A SAFARI ON THE SERENGETI!!!
Oct 3: the rest of the team travels home and Julie stays in Igoma (or boards the train for Singida)
Oct 4: Julie travels to Singida (central Tanzania) by either bus or train (or giraffe!...joking!). In Singida I am met by the Tanzanian Compassion staff person and stay overnight there.
Oct 5: Visit with my Compassion child, Helena and her family! Amazing.
Oct 6: Travel with the Compassion staff person north to Arusha, Tanzania (near the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro) and stay overnight with missionaries in Arusha, Joy and Sig Feser (Aunt and Uncle to my friend Lori).
Oct 7: Travel by shuttle bus from Arusha, across the Kenyan border, to the Nairobi airport. Fly out to London late that night.
Oct 8: Fly from London home to Toronto!

For those of you who believe in prayers, I'll take lots of them! Prayer especially for health and safety would be appreciated. There will be so many stories to tell and so much that I will have learned and been impacted by when I return...I look forward to sharing it all with you.

For now, Mungu akubariki.
